There are many delightful islands scattered along the Indian Ocean. Each of these groups of islands is able to boast of something unique and exquisite. The Seychelles islands – a group of 115 islands boast of some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. Located on the North end of the third largest Seychelles Island – La Digue – is Anse Source d’argent.

Words cannot describe the breathtaking beauty that meets the eye at this beach. Part of a National Park, it is a protected beach and therefore an entry fee is charged from all visitors. But, it is definitely worth the visit. The soft sand can only be described as pink, running into crystal clear blue waters. The beach is naturally landscaped with swaying palm trees, dotted with oblong boulders of a funny rounded shape, which are a rare characteristic of the island.

With a natural picture postcard layout, it is no surprise that this beach gets the most amount of camera attention. It is a much sought after photo location for travel programmes, model shoots, and simply for an effort to capture as much of its breathtaking exquisiteness as possible. In fact, there was a strong belief that Anse Source d’argent was in fact the location of the Garden of Eden. This perhaps explains why visitors detest leaving once they have experienced the beauty of the beach. There is also a popular myth on the island that if one was to eat its famous breadfruit, one would be destined to always come back to the island.

La Digue Island itself is not a modern island boasting of state of the art amenities. In fact, it is the islands understated, quiet and non commercial centricity that adds to its charm. However, as each island is only a few minutes or hours away by ferry or helicopter, island hopping is a popular recreational activity.

Therefore, visitors hoping to stay at a Seychelles Hotel can opt for an island resort accommodation such as the Raffles Praslin Seychelles. This Praslin Hotel situated on the second largest island, offers luxury facilities for a lavish stay on stunning group of islands.
