Dalian’s Squares- the Centres of Activity in Dalian

A symbolic crystal ball hangs in the middle of the square held by five hands, depicting the unity and solidarity of the people of the five continents. In the night it is well lit and throngs of people gather to watch movies and be a part of the entertainment that unfolds.

The gateway to the coastal belt of the city is the Haizhiyun Square, which is decorated by figures of sea gulls and other marine animals. The sculptures portray that man and nature live concordantly in the city. The square itself is commonly used as a place for social gatherings.
