Festivals are the ultimate way to celebrate and experience a unique culture belonging to the country you are traveling to. Wat Arun Festival is a kaleidoscope event of excellent performing arts. This culturally important festival organized every November by the Wat Arun Preservation Project is centered on the holy temple of Wat Arun. Laying emphasis on the glorious performing arts of the Rattanakosin Era, the annual Wat Arun Festival was initiated in year 2000 under the theme of "When History comes Alive".

The Wat Arun Temple has earned its name Aruna, the Indian God of the Dawn and is also known among locals as the Temple of Dawn. The temple's Khmer architectural style is considered one of the most remarkable visual identities of Bangkok. The festival brings to life rare and fading styles of traditional dances like Lakorn Nai, Hun Luang, Nang Yai, Lakorn Nok, and Khon Chuk Rok. There will be items such as Hainanese Puppets, mask play, small puppets, Acrobatics-Krabi Krabong, Cantonese Lion Play and Pah Booh, reviving interests on indigenous styles of performing art. The traveller who participates would find it to be an ideal event which showcases Thai religious practices.

Simultaneously the participants can enjoy traditional Thai cooking and local delicacies, a change from the monotony of the large scale eating outlets and shopping malls. The National Museum, Wat Pho, Museum Siam are nearby attractions that can also be visited.

Close to the Wat Arun Temple many serviced apartments Bangkok can be found offering easy access to the city's sights and sounds. Bangkok President Park will be ideal for the traveller looking for the comfort of a cozy bed and state-of-the-art facilities. Being a Bangkok apartment on Sukhumvit with easy access to the hotspots of Bangkok provides guests ample time and chance to visit as many attractions as they possibly can.
